Earth/Spirit
Connections
Dear
Questers,
I
am very excited that we are presenting a whole new format for the upcoming CSQ
Spring Conference to be held in Harrison Hot Springs, May 4 – 7, 2012. In my own learning experiences, I have found
that I come away with more when I can actively participate by interacting with
the teachers and fellow attendees.
Therefore we have created a program that will allow for that. The theme of the conference is Earth/Spirit
Connections and we have chosen three outstanding teachers for making this theme
come to life in our lives.
Each
teacher will offer at least a full day of innovative ways to make those
connections. Grahame Gardner, President
of the British Society of Dowsers, will lead us through a day of working with
space both sacred and ordinary on Friday. He will also offer a post-conference
workshop on Monday to focus more on sacred space through the creation of a
labyrinth. Grahame is delightful, fun, and charming in addition to being a
brilliant dowser. Saturday’s teacher
needs no introduction to Questers. We
are thrilled to bring back Freddy Silva who has developed new methods for
sacred space temple making and he will share them with us. He has also written a new book and will
present a power-packed lecture and slide show on Friday evening. Sunday brings Garry Oker,
a former chief and current active member of the Doig
River First Nation. Garry’s work serves as a cross-cultural bridge through the
innovative use of art, music, communication, and traditional native ways. He will also offer a post-conference workshop
on Monday. Now you can understand why
we are so excited about this conference.
This is quite the dynamic team of teachers!
We
have built in flexibility into this program so you can choose to come for all
three teachers or just one or two, with fees adjusted accordingly. We have once again kept the conference fees
as low as possible for Questers to allow for maximum participation. Please apply for a scholarship if you want to
come but are currently short on funds.
Some
practical points to note: there will be a vendor’s room which will be open
Friday morning until Sunday supper. There will be NO raffle or 50/50 draws.
Anyone who wishes to contribute to the scholarship fund may make a donation at
the registrar’s table. All meals are on your own. There is a special rate
available at the Ramada Hotel. When you call 1 888 265 1155 please make sure to
say that you’re coming for the Questers Conference. We are planning a special
social for Saturday evening.
We
hope you will make plans to join us for this extraordinary event where we can
experience connecting with Earth and Spirit and each other.
In
Peace, Love and Gratitude,
Carol
Heywood, Conference Coordinator
